Baal Aadhaar Update: Child’s Aadhaar May Be Invalid, If You Failed To Update Biometrics Says UIDAI
Baal Aadhaar: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) says that parents, who have received the Baal aadhaar for their children must know the important update. Being a parent, you just need to update the biometrics of your children when they turn 5. Parents who get failed to update this then Baal Aadhaar will become invalid automatically.
Taking to Twitter, the UIDAI said “The Baal Aadhaar can only be used up to the age of 5 years. It becomes inactive if the biometrics of the child are not updated at the age of 5 years.”

Therefore, as a parent, you must note that biometrics is mandatory for children above 5 years. However, biometrics is not captured for children below 5 years. The UID will process depending on the demographic condition and facial photograph of their parent linked with UID.
However, when these children reach the age of 5 years will require to update their biometrics of ten fingers, facial photograph, and iris.
The UIDAI has tweeted recently that people may use 4 forms of Aadhaar which are equally acceptable and as proof of identity. Additionally, as parents, you can use any form of Aadhaar. These four forms of Aadhaar are –Aadhar Letter, eAadhaar, mAadhaar and Aadhaar PVC Card.
