Ola e-Scooters: The ‘Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro scooters‘ sale was expected to go live earlier this month, but due to technical glitches on the two-wheeler manufacturer’s site, the sale had been delayed. As soon as the glitch got fixed, the Ola electric sale went live on Wednesday and Ola Electric scooters S1 and S1 Pro model received a massive response on day one of the booking processes. The CEO and co-founder of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, said that the Chennai-based electric vehicle manufacturer is getting at least four Ola e-scooters booked every second.

He also sent a message for prospective buyers to hurry up with the bookings before the EV manufacturer ‘run out of scooters’. However, OLA electric has not made any comment on the total number of bookings it has received on day one. The OLA CEO claims that it is expected to run into thousands.

The company is accepting online purchases and reservations for the S1 and S1 Pro models. The price of the Ola Electric S1 scooter starts at ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a claimed range of around 120 km, whereas the S1 Pro model has a claimed range of around 180 km on a single charge.

The Ola Electric Scooters are being manufactured at the Ola Futurefactory near Chennai in Tamil Nadu. It is expected that the company will roll out two million units annually with its 10,000 workforces. Also, Ola aims to export its electric scooters to foreign markets like the US, Latin America, and Australia.
