Habits Of Extremely Happy People: Some people simply emanate happiness. These people may seem like they have everything together, and as though nothing can drag them down, in turn, you may be wondering, “What is it that sets this person apart from me?” And I’m here to tell you, certain habits make a massive difference.
While there isn’t a formula for happiness- happy people do things differently than those who aren’t. And while modern society would have you think that happiness is a destination you just haven’t reached yet, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Instead, happiness is all in how you participate in the journey of life.
With that being said, here are 6 habits that set truly happy people apart from those who are unhappy.
1. They set clear goals.
Goals and intentions are EVERYTHING. Truly happy people know what they want from life, and will stop at nothing until they reach their goals. Because of this, their lives feel more meaningful and seemingly have more purpose.
2. They have a growth mindset.
As a person, you have either a fixed mindset or a growth mindset. Having a fixed mindset means you are not open to change. Instead, you believe you are the way you are, and there is nothing that can be done to change that. Once you realize that you are an ever-evolving being that can change (as long as you want to change) doors will start to open for you.
In turn, you will realize that goals you once believed were unreachable aren’t so unreachable.
3. They are grateful.
Studies show that gratitude rewires our mindset towards positivity. And there is an old saying that whatever you focus on will grow. So, do you want your blessings to grow, or your downfalls? Like any skill, gratitude has to be practiced to receive the full benefits, and the more you practice it, the more grateful you will be. Start by listing three things you are grateful for each day.
4. They bounce back after failure.
Many people fail and then give up. However, happy people know that failure is simply a learning curve, and rather than giving up, they use failures to teach them how to succeed. Each time you fail, use it to help you bounce back better than before. Eventually, you will reach the goals you simply never gave up on.
5. They give.
Happy people know that giving to others (especially our time) is what truly will make you happier and more satisfied in life. And research shows that successful and happy people volunteer their time and abilities to others.

6. They invest their time in their passions.
In modern times, it can become easy to give in to the trap of the ‘have to dos’ and let what we want to do fall to the back burner. Happy people know that life isn’t all work and responsibility. Instead, you have to truly make time to do the things you enjoy. We will always have a laundry list of things that need to get done. So push some of those priorities to the side from time to time and make time for what you are passionate about.
