Non-Resident-Indian PAN Card: Every Indian must have a PAN card for financial transactions equal to 50,000 or above and filing income tax returns. Additionally, an NRI also needs to have a PAN card. The process is quite simple for PAN cards for Non-Resident-Indian. They must note that the documents required for the NRI PAN card are different from those of native people.

What Documents Required For NRI PAN Card?
- Two passport-sized photographs were provided along with the acknowledgment form.
- Attach a passport copy as identity proof.
- A copy of your bank account statement in the residing country.
- NRE bank account statement copy should be duly attested with at least two transactions in the past 6 months.
Steps To Apply For A NRI PAN Card
Once you have the above-given documents, follow the steps to successfully apply for an NRI PAN Card online.
Step 1: Non-Resident Indians are required to fill the form 49A if they hold Indian citizenship.
Step 2: In case, NRIs holding citizenship of another country must fill out the 49AA Form.
Step 3: These forms can be filled out online through NDSL and UTIITSL websites.
Step 4: After filling out the form and submitting it, an acknowledgment copy along with a 15-digit number generated needs to be sent to the designated address with the documents.
Step 5: The communication address provided by NRI inside India will cost Rs. 107 whereas that outside India costs Rs. 989 including application fees and dispatch charges.
Step 6: Now, pay the application fee through a credit/ debit card or Net banking.
Step 7: Alternatively, a demand draft can also be dispatched to UTIITSL /NSDL, along with the documents and form.
